Saturday night rocked my socks!

The title I think says it all haha!  We had a fabulous Saturday evening!  It was a Spring-ish day (as spring as it's getting in Rexburg right now haha) and I was craving BBQ!  I love eating bbq'd food!!  Every Summer growing up my parents would bbq a lot (mostly because my mom didn't want to get the house hot :P)!!  We were lucky enough to get a bbq as a wedding gift from the sweetest couple that were in Joe's mission!  So we definitely have used it!

I told Joe that I think we needed to bbq!  He agreed and we decided on pork chops.  I really wanted asparagus as well, but Joe had never had it before.  We decided to go for it and Joe would have salad.

We put spices on the pork chops (season salt, pepper, garlic powder, oregano, and rosemary) then grilled it!  When it was practically ready we put bbq sauce on it and cooked it just a bit longer.

For the asparagus we put olive oil on it and salt and pepper!  Then we grilled those as well.  I actually was able to get Joe to try them...and guess what?  He liked them :D!!!  So last night with our dinner we had the rest of the asparagus!  YUMMY!!

Here's our delicious bbq'd meal!!

A few weeks a go, I was lucky enough to win this contest from some local movie critics!  I won free tickets to the local theater!  We decided to make Saturday date night a movie date!  We were debating between two movies and decided upon Source Code!  It is the movie where the guy keeps reliving a train explosion to solve who caused the explosion to happen!  We really enjoyed it!  I liked how the ended had a twist to it!  I don't think we'll buy it, but it was a great movie!!

We had a fabulous Saturday night!  I love spending every moment with Joe!  Life is just amazing and I am soo blessed!!

Wow your BBQ food looks good. And always keep up the date nights. It is really important, so I'm glad to see you are doing that. :)
