Joe and I decided that we would trade off each year on who was planning Valentine's Day! I volunteered to plan this year! I had ideas in my head, so I thought I would do it! I started planning right away and was getting ready for Valentine's to the day of! I told Joe he didn't need to get me anything, but he said he wasn't falling for that "trap" haha! Well I guess I won't argue with him then!
Joe kept telling me that he hopes what he got me comes through! I was curious about what he meant by that, but kinda thought he must've bought something to have shipped to me! What I didn't completely know was what he was getting me and when I would get it. I was in my class and the kids were at the library. My aide comes in and says "Vanessa this is for you!" I look and there is a big box that says "Shari's Berries" on it!
All of us teachers that were in the room gathered around the box, while I opened it! I was super excited! This is what I saw...
I open that box and saw...
I'm starting to realize what it is!! Then I opened the wrapping to....
CHOCOLATE COVERED STRAWBERRIES!!! They were DELICIOUS!! I finished them up today and enjoyed them soo much! I liked how there was such a variety and it looked sorta like flowered when you open them!! He definitely did a great job!! He likes to spoil me :P
I planned the evening for us. I had a lot to do once I got home from work as I decided to make dinner instead of going out for dinner! I was really tight on time and everything didn't flow as planned, but it turned out to be such a fun night! We enjoyed it tons!! Here are some of the things I did....
When Joe first came in I had a video presentation with photos of him and I starting with dating until now! I didn't wanna be in the room during this, but some how it got muted so we had to figure out the problem with the sound so he could hear it too! Yes, part of the non-smooth night hahha! He enjoyed the video tho!
Then I had him walk to the kitchen with these hearts leading him to it. The hearts had reasons why I love him written on them!
Then I had dinner waiting for him in the dining room! We started with shrimp and shrimp cocktail....I should've looked at how many we had since we only could have 3 each (I thought we had A LOT more :P)
Then for dinner we had steak (we haven't had it yet and Joe enjoys steak so I thought it would be a nice treat), garlic mashed potatoes, and glazed carrots. We had sparkling cider to drink!
For dessert I made Reese Peanut butter cup cheesecake bars! They turned out DELICIOUS (and looked cute)!!! We LOVE cheesecake, but try not to make it too often!

I'm really impressed you pulled it off and she didn't know what it was. And wow Vanessa what a night you had planned. Everything looks so good. I need the recipe for the cheesecake. They looked so yummy. Well I must say, you did much better then us. Then again it was your first and not your 29th, hahaha. Good job you two. :)
