Mexican Pizza Recipe!!

I am SUPER excited to share this recipe!  It turned out soooo good!  The original recipe comes from allrecipes.  I did some changes though!  I am going to show you the recipe for how to make only two Mexican pizzas, since that is all I made!  One is quite filling then when you put a side of maybe salad and/or refried beans (we did both :P)  it is really FILLING!!

Ingredients:
4 tortillas
1/2 lb ground beef
1/2 can (8 oz) refried beans (I cooked the whole thing and used whatever I had leftover as a side dish!)
1 package of taco seasoning or use your own seasoning (we did our own seasonings using pepper, season salt, chili powder and cayenne red pepper!)
salsa
grated cheese
green onions
(you can add whatever other toppings you may like including tomatoes, avocado, olives, chiles, etc.)

Recipe:

Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees.
Start out by browning the ground beef

and warming up the refried beans.

Add your taco seasoning or own seasonings to the ground beef.  You can leave them separate or what I did was combine them together once everything is warmed, cooked, and seasoned.

When the oven is warmed place your tortillas in the oven until they have hardened.  You can also fry them in oil on the oven, but it is much healthier to bake in the oven.

Once the tortillas are hard, put your ground beef and refried bean mixture on one tortilla.  I found the best way to spread this mixture out was with a spoon and your hands...yes it can be a bit challenging :)

Then top with some cheese.

Put the other tortilla on top.

Put a layer of salsa on top of the top tortilla.

Layer with your remaining topping.  I put on green onions

then LOTS of cheese!

Place in oven and cook until the cheese has melted!

Enjoy :)
